Book #246

Greek Binding

Today is the first day of a new school year for my kids, so I used the alphabet paper on today's book to mark the occasion. The binding is a stitching technique known as a Greek binding.

Hi Rhonda, thanks for sharing!
Thanks a lot for your 365 books enterprise, I love your models, many of them I didn't know!
Is Greek binding another name for coptic or is it different?
Thanks again!

Thanks Lucia. The Coptic sewing is a simpler chain stitch. This Greek sewing is different - it is more complex and the book is sewn in two pieces and then joined in the middle.
