More books from boxes

I just have to show some books I recently made by request using fun boxes. Because, not only is it fun to have all the products that are advertised on television, it is even more fun to have notebooks made from the boxes.

The Graty and SlapChop combo, of course.

The Snuggie, and yes, the Snuggie for dogs.

These are great! Don't you love/hate the Graty guy? And I didn't know they had doggie snuggies... wow...
Awesome books!

What fun these are! I am tempted to go through the cupboards to see what potential book covers are hiding there.

I love the idea of recycling for books. I just bought the Rebound book. Another thing on my list of things to do.
Did you rip all of those pages by hand to create that lovely deckled edge? What paper are you using? I am trying to scource just the right paper at the moment.

Thanks Lotus, Ann Renee, Svetlana, Susan and Deb!

Deb, for that Graty book, yes I tore the pages to get that effect on the edge of the paper. I like to tear, rather than cut, whenever possible!

The paper used in these books in nothing fancy. No sense putting really expensive paper inside a book made from acidic corrugated cardboard! So when I make these notebooks, I try to use paper from the recycling bin, or stuff left over from other projects, etc. I think the paper in the Graty book is basic 20 lb office paper.

I love these, I have been making books using boxes for a while now, my favorites are velveeta cheese boxes and the little movie candy boxes, but really anything is fair game!!

So true, Ellen! Don't you have snuggies for your dogs?

Susan, they are sewn using a basic longstitch directly through the cover.

My dogs are deprived - no dog snuggies for them.
