I love those books! Do you just sew the leather pieces together edge-to-edge or are they sewn onto a backing of some kind?

Very nice work. They look like something you would want to hold in your hand. The leather having 'give' which a regular hard cover doesn't.
I like it. Having run out of my leather scraps I think I will give it a try with cloth...that I have a ton of.

It starts as a pile of leather pieces. I sort it and match it and plan out the pattern. Then I sew them together to make covers for journals. Finished covers...
