Just showing off one of the small journals currently available in my Etsy shop. I love this gold suede Elkskin leather - this is the end of the hide and it has been hard to find another hide like it - I'm still looking!

just discovered your site today on a quest to understand Ethiopian Coptic technique. Then of course I got lost for an hour looking at all your books, wonderful time spent.
Now my question, with journals that hold 256 pages, what size signatures are you making; four folded sheets or more?

RD, it depends on the thickness of the paper. Lighter, text-weight paper, I often use 8 sheets per section - and with 8 sections, you get 256 pages (counting both sides of each sheet as a page). Thicker papers, though, I would more likely use 4 sheets.
